Description

In this lecture we’ll address the pursuit of acquiring low-frequency energy over a century of seismic acquisition, with regards to sensors, instrumentation as well as sources (vibroseis & explosives) and their deployment. Pros and cons of MEMS are discussed as well as practical field-noise measurements

Participants' Profile

Survey design-, research and operational geophysicists, with an interest in quantifying the dynamic range of a seismic acquisition system, with an emphasis on low-frequencies.

About the Lecturer

Bart Duijndam has worked for more than 30 years with Shell PLC in various roles (instrument evaluation & auditing, research, operations, and survey design, in various parts of the world. Both as a Subject Matter Expert, as well as a Team Leader.
